Name: Campion Bond
Literary Source:  None.  I can't think of any literary character named Bond who works for British Intelligence under someone named "M", can you?

Bond is the one who gives the League their orders and information.  He tries to be all suave and charming, but his natural sleaziness still shines through.  His family apparently has a bad reputation, according to Nemo's crew.
 


Name: "The Doctor"
Literary Source: Why sir, whatever do you mean... *koffkoffFUMANCHUkoff*

A Chinese crimelord with a grudge against the British Empire, who has established an absolute dominion over London's east end.  He's regarded as the Devil himself by those who have encountered him and lived to tell the tale.  Despite his nasty reputation, he does enjoy gentler pursuits, such as writing poetry.  The fact that this poetry is usually inscribed with acid on a live man's skin should not be held against him. If you wish to remain healthy, that is.
 


Name:  Sherlock Holmes
Literary Source:  A whole bunch of stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle

The world's greatest detective was supposedly killed along with his arch-nemesis, Professor Moriarty, during their encounter at Reichenbach Falls.  He is survived by his brother Mycroft.
 


Name: "M"

Mr. Bond's shadowy superior, the head of British Intelligence.  Miss Murray has come to the conclusion that "M" is actually Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock's older, smarter brother.

"M" is actually none other than Professor James Moriarty, Sherlock Holmes' nemesis.  He survived their encounter at Reichenbach Falls, and has been leading a double life, as both a criminal mastermind and head of British intelligence.
